Design and inspiration:
The original artwork, Macca-Villacrosse Passage, Bucharest, signed Diana IONIȚĂ October 2023, is a watercolor that is part of a series of three artworks that represented a special commission. The mission was to choose three different perspectives of a single place in Bucharest, a place where history and architecture blend perfectly into everyday life. A place where you can easily spend a whole day not wishing you could leave, three perspectives where time stands still. Macca-Villacrosse Passage, the CEC Palace and the Post Office Palace are the three chosen subjects; they give the pulse of the old center and tell beautiful stories about the emblematic historical buildings and streets full of history.
